Santosa: The Princess Queen
Santosa, as with many other dogs, had a pretty rough beginning.
Dumped as a puppy with her siblings near “the pound”;
she was taken in by a rescue group in Page, Arizona. Friends of
Executive Director Laura
Bradshaw were looking
for a companion dog for their aging shepherd mix when they got
the call. Little did they know that would be one of many calls,
mostly to the vet, and some to Healing HEART Sanctuary.
Santosa, a Shar Pei Rottweiler mix, had a catastrophic case
of worms, very bad colitis, and strange fevers that would come
and go during the day and night. While their local vet cured
her of the worms, HHS suggested a diet change and Limu for
the colitis and Santosa’s immune system.
Her colitis cleared up and she was beginning to feel better.
The fevers would not cease though and her family was very worried
as their Princess was still ill.
Through her family’s insistence their vet kept running
tests. Finally there was a breakthrough in the mystery fevers!
Santosa tested positive for a form of Lyme disease, which is
caused by ticks. She was put on a regimen of antibiotics and
their vet indicated that she would remain on them for at least
4 months. It was about that same time that Laura had discovered
a product named Booster and
recommended it since this product has had success in helping
the body to not build a resistance to antibiotics, especially
over a long course of treatment.
We’re glad to report that Santosa was cleared of all tick
diseases a full month early, much to the surprise of their vet.
She now happily reigns over the couch and her Kingdom in full
health. Her subjects (family) are now happy, too:
“Without the dedication, support, and guidance of
Laura Bradshaw and Healing HEART Sanctuary, the prognosis
of our beloved dog Santosa would be quite different. Laura’s
vast knowledge of natural healing substances has vitally
impacted the total wellness of Santosa.” — Jean
