Monroe & Sam: The Good, the Gooder, and the
Goodest
Monroe and Sam were Executive
Director Laura Bradshaw's dogs when Healing HEART Sanctuary
began.
They were founders themselves as they helped each and every
new animal adjust to their new surroundings. They were also both
great with helping the children settle in who came to Healing
HEART Sanctuary when it was the only foster shelter for children
in the county. Monroe could play ball for hours; and Sam was
the best cuddler on the planet, bar none! Something for everyone.
Monroe and Sam not only got to see the vision of Healing HEART
Sanctuary come to life, first-hand, but they helped fashion the
mission, to help animals and children get back on their feet.
Monroe crossed the Rainbow
Bridge in early 2005; Sam followed a year later. They both
were quite old when they passed but their contribution to this
wonderful place will never be forgotten.
