There’s always different ways to help Healing HEART Sanctuary. And some donors prefer the more tangible gift of having a specific item delivered to the sanctuary.
And as you can see below, there are a range of needs from ongoing to one-time, from smaller dollar amounts to larger.
What we know is that however you choose to assist, the animals benefit and the humans are grateful:
In-Kind Services
- Printing for business cards, envelopes, stationary and second page, trifold brochure
- Public Relations
- Graphics work for specific projects which will have its own identity or for larger print projects
- Bookkeeping
- Accounting with familiarity with Utah law
- Event planning for large-scale events
- Fund-raising expertise
- Video footage for website and to solicit support for projects and large-scale donations
- Someone to install solar panels
Volunteers / Staff
- Donations specific to cover cost of on-going animal care at sanctuary
- At the sanctuary in Kanab, Utah or virtually
- In Southern California area to work on “Chariots of Fur” project
- Virtual volunteers to help with blog, updating the website, fund-raising, etc.
Technology
- Mac notebook with docking station (new or in great shape)
- Desktop computer (new or in great shape) – for office
- HP notebook (new or in great shape) for Marketing Director
- Onsite or 24-hour service on all computers
- Wireless card and monthly service paid for, for Executive Director and Marketing Director
- Adobe Acrobat for PC and Mac
- Donations specific to technology support such as software,
etc.
Getting Around and Travel (Executive Director travels to/from Southern California frequently and will start traveling around Utah as part of outreach)
- Animal Transport Vehicle – call for details
- Gas cards
- Place to stay in various Southern California areas when traveling there with animals
- Miles for air tickets for travel to/from Southern California and occasionally other locations for meetings
- Pick-up truck (new or in good condition)
Around the Sanctuary
- Home Depot and/or Lowe’s gift cards
- Wind generator
- Pool enclosure
- Propane power generator with transfer switch, 17kW or higher
- Shop Vac (large)
- Wood lathe – variable speed for various projects
- Heat lamps (ceramic base that can hold 250 watt red heat bulb) and 250 watt red heat bulbs
- Pig blankets/hard plastic heating pads such as for the tortoises,
various sizes
Daily Use Cleaning and Other “Keeping Clean” Items:
- Laundry soap (High Efficiency/HE only), fragrance and dye
free
- Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes – by the truckload
- Pull-ups – large size
- Pee Pads – also by the truckload
- Paper towels
- Old (or new) towels and quilts
- Moving blankets
- Clear Choice brand pool chemicals
Animal-specific
- Gift cards to pet stores such as Petco (it’s the only national chain store within 3 hours driving distance) and PetSmart
- Dog toys for large dogs
- Eddie’s Wheels Dog Carts – all sizes, new and used
- Shavings – DryNest (kiln dried) by the bale
- Limu -- a case monthly

to use and it’s not on our list, please give
us a call. We always appreciate the offer and hope that
if we can’t use it, you’ll understand, and we’ll
work with you to find a group that can use it.
